The doctors at the Chastain Veterinary Medical Group adhere to the principle that it is better to diagnose first, and then treat second. This helps us and our patients get to a successful endpoint as rapidly as possible. One of the keys to diagnosing patients accurately is good quality equipment and licensed, skilled practitioners.
Because of our focus on quality first we have invested in top tier X-ray equipment including digital X-ray processing which allow for better detail and therefore more accurate results. We also have several ultrasound machines incorporating the newest technology to allow for the best imaging possible. All of our doctors have received extra training in ultrasonography. Dr. Sue Chastain also performs echocardiograms (ultrasounds of the heart) and has a special interest in cardiology.
