Dr. Jack Burks III earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. He also received his Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in 2015. Dr. Jack is a proud Aggie alumnus. Whoop!

Dr. Jack joined the Chastain Veterinary Medical Group at Preston Road Animal Hospital as a veterinarian in June of 2021. However, he obtained valuable experience while he worked at Preston Road Animal Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant during his breaks in veterinary school. Dr. Jack grew up in Springtown, Texas and is therefore passionate about helping the people and animals in the DFW community.

Dr. Jack loves the challenge of practicing veterinary medicine with a focus on dogs and cats. He believes that the most important aspect of veterinary medicine is communication and enjoys the opportunity of working with pet owners to provide optimal care for their fur babies. Dr. Jack’s special areas of interest include preventative medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, surgery, and cardiology.

Dr. Jack and his fiancé share their home with two rambunctious rescue dogs: a schnoodle-beagle mix named Kodi (pictured), and Kalvin, a red-heeler. In his free time, Dr. Jack enjoys visiting local breweries, attending sporting events, road biking, playing golf, and traveling to new places.
