All the veterinarians at the Chastain Veterinary Medical Group are general practitioners licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Each is familiar with the most common behaviors, personalities, quirks and disorders in the most common pet species. And some of the not-so-common ones, too! This helps insure that each pet and his or her family will have access to veterinary care when they need it, regardless of type of pet involved or the veterinarian on duty.

Still, the ever-increasing breadth and depth of veterinary medical knowledge makes a certain degree of informal specialization desirable for veterinarians. Consequently, each of the veterinarians of the Chastain Veterinary Medical Group has developed areas of special interest. Both within and across these areas of of special interest, the Chastain Veterinary Medical Group takes a team approach to the practice of veterinary medicine.

Each pet, and their family, is encouraged to select one “primary” veterinarian. This doctor will be your main contact. This is the doctor you will see most of the time, barring emergencies. To help solve a particular problem, your pet’s primary veterinarian may at times call upon the knowledge, skill, and experience of one or more of the other veterinarians in the Group. In this way, you and your pet maintain a close relationship with the veterinarian who best understands your needs, desires and preferences. At the same time, your pet has access to the veterinarians best suited to solving the matter at hand and best able to address it most effectively.

All of the Chastain Veterinary Medical Group veterinarians are fully licensed to practice in Texas on all animal species. Unless otherwise noted, the Chastain Veterinary Medical Group veterinarians are not board certified in any veterinary specialty field.
